Death Is Not The End

Daily Reading: Romans 6

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23, NIV)

Mankind has one express ticket to death. It sounds depressing, but we will ultimately face physical death. Our worries don’t end there. There is also spiritual death to think about. What that means is, once we die physically, God says (and I’m paraphrasing), “Wait, it doesn’t end there, there’s actually something better,” called eternal life.

We can accept this limited time offer when we choose to live for Him to avoid this spiritual death. The free gift of God gives us Eternal Life instead of the death we deserve.

Stop and think about the people who don’t know about this Good News.

If you hear that Amazon is offering free deliveries for a lifetime at no cost, or that someone has paid for it already, wouldn’t you tell your friends about this lifetime deal?

Many people don’t know that there are two paths after death: heaven or hell. It’s our job to help them understand that there is something after. That knowledge alone can help them make a choice. God tells us to make disciples and spread His word to them.

I have many friends who don’t know Christ, and you probably do as well. I recall a bike ride to school with my friend who didn’t know God. So I decided to share a miracle which I had heard about. He listened and asked questions; I was overjoyed when he wanted to hear more. To me, this was the reward of doing God’s work, and it came by simply sharing God in action. Planting the seed takes a lot of patience, but once you choose to plant that seed, you get to witness the living harvest.

With Love,

Sem V.
