Daily Reading: Mark 13
And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. (Mark 13:10, NKJV)
Reading verse 10, in the middle of an express warning from our Lord Jesus, is not only meant to emphasize His mandate for us but also to emphasize His mission: “the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.”
What an overwhelming cause, what an overwhelming requirement, that we MUST preach this gospel to everyone. Dear believer, let us not rob our Lord Jesus of what is His by allowing ourselves to be silenced in preaching this gospel due to personal conflicts. Let us be like Jonah, who humbly conquered his internal conflict and allowed our Father’s purpose to be manifested through him; in the end, the people of Ninevah did believe, and they were saved. And as we preached, His power is reaching out to save…
Esezobor preached to Julius, and he preached to Stevan. Virginia preached to Shawn, and he preached to Ron. Don preached to Steve, and he preached to Will. Uncle Manny preached to Bong, and he preached to Willie. Bobbie preached to Greg, and he preached to Audrey, and she preached to Kyle. Connie preached to Paula, and she preached to Lillian. JJ preached to Robert, and he preached to Mihai. Can you see that “all the nations” start with those closest to us? Can you look around and see someone that our Father’s heart is so desperately wanting to reach, thus placing you in their life? Against all odds, let’s allow His power to flow through to us…the gospel of Christ…it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
